Digital Apps for Indie Tabletop & RPG Publishers
We build official companion apps for independent tabletop and RPG publishers — polished, published under your brand. Zero cost. Zero risk. Pure upside.
We turn your rulebook into an official companion app that enhances gameplay, grows your community, and earns you revenue — with DigiRune covering every cost. We also build freestanding apps that serve the wider tabletop and RPG community.
DigiRune handles all development, App Store publishing, maintenance, and customer support. Publishers contribute IP access and promotional reach — nothing more.
No mockups, no prototypes. Our flagship app for Twisted is live on Google Play and the Apple App Store today, with more titles already in development — you can hold the finished standard in your hands before signing anything.
You receive 30% of every download — passive income on a product you never build or maintain. Comparable games have seen tens of thousands of downloads across platforms.
Every app is game-specific and officially endorsed — a complete digital extension of your rulebook, not a generic dice roller.
A complete digital companion for Twisted: Steampunk Skirmish — covering all three sourcebooks in one polished, offline-capable Progressive Web App.
The process is simple by design. Publishers bring the IP and the community. DigiRune handles everything else.
We share the working Twisted app live, so you see an example of exactly what your community would receive. If it's the right fit, we move forward.
A straightforward revenue-sharing agreement. You keep full IP ownership; DigiRune licenses it to build, publish, and maintain the app under your brand. You keep 30% of every sale — on a product that costs you nothing to build, launch, or run.
We build the app to your game's full depth — characters, rules, factions, mechanics, lore. You review and approve before anything goes to market. Typical timeline: 5–6 weeks from content access to submission.
The app launches on Google Play and the Apple App Store under your branding. DigiRune handles all maintenance, updates, and support. You announce it to your community and collect your share — indefinitely.
We're not a consultancy quoting you a development budget. We're a product studio that builds first and negotiates second.
You won’t be asked to imagine the end product. The Twisted app is live in the stores right now — a real, shipped example of the depth and polish your game would receive. Explore it yourself — no pressure, no commitment.
Most publishers wait 6–12 months for a studio to deliver. Ours is 5–6 weeks from signed agreement to App Store submission — your community has it in hand before the momentum fades.
Generic companion apps get downloaded once and forgotten. We build to the depth your community expects — faction rosters, rules cross-referencing, tools specific to your mechanics. An app players reach for every session is an app that keeps earning.
New expansion drops? We update the app. App Store policy changes? We handle it. Customer support, bug fixes, platform compliance — all DigiRune. Your only job is telling your community it exists.
Every DigiRune app comes out of The Forge — our internal build process with a quality gate at every step. Three promises come out the other side:
Your rules go in word-for-word. Nothing paraphrased, nothing invented — every stat, ability, and line of lore is checked against your source material before it ships.
Every screen is tested on real phones and tablets — iOS and Android, online and offline — before you ever see it. Nothing is called done until it’s proven.
Your community’s first impression is the one that counts. We build for a launch with zero excuses — then keep it that way with ongoing updates.
Will McCullough is a Marine Corps veteran, entrepreneur, and lifelong tabletop gamer. He served as a Combat Engineer, Senior Drill Instructor, and Close Combat Instructor-Trainer — roles where precision, accountability, and attention to detail aren’t optional. That standard is baked into every app DigiRune builds.
He went on to found one of South Carolina’s first MMA gyms, serve as Governor-appointed Chairman of the SC State Athletic Commission — where he brought the first-ever UFC event to the state — and build a 25-year real estate career representing over 1,000 clients as broker-owner of an independent franchise office within one of the world’s largest international real estate brands. He currently serves as a National Director for GAMMA USA, the U.S. branch of the global governing body for amateur mixed martial arts.
Will has also served as chapter President of BNI, Vice Chairman of a regional Parks & Recreation Board, and three terms as elected Director of his regional REALTORS Association — leadership roles grounded in business development, community stewardship, and navigating regulatory frameworks.
What that means for publishers: DigiRune is run by someone who has built businesses from scratch, navigated government regulation, managed complex partnerships, and delivered under pressure — consistently, for decades. Your IP is in experienced hands.
That’s decided together in the agreement — most companion apps sell as a low-cost, one-time purchase on the stores. No subscriptions, no ads, no in-app tricks. Your players buy it once and own it.
You do — fully and always. DigiRune receives a license to publish the app under your brand. Your rules, characters, and world remain 100% yours.
Three things: access to your source material, a review-and-approve pass before launch, and an announcement to your community when it goes live. That’s the entire lift — no technical work, ever.
We update the app. Errata, expansions, rebalances, new factions — maintenance and updates are part of the partnership, not a change order.
The app stores pay DigiRune, and your 30% share is passed through to you on the schedule set in the agreement. You watch downloads turn into income without ever logging into a developer console.
Even better. We can extend what exists or build to your vision. The demo call is a conversation, not a script — bring your wish list.
Twisted is live. The next companion apps are already in The Forge. Yours could be next.
Start the ConversationSend us your game name and we'll set up a 20-minute call. We'll walk you through the Twisted app live, talk through what your companion app would look like, and if it's the right fit, we get to work — most publishers have an app ready for review within five to six weeks.

This policy describes how McCullough Development, Inc., doing business as DigiRune Studios ("DigiRune Studios," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information across this website and our companion applications. Individual apps may include their own supplemental privacy details at the point of download.
DigiRune Studios is a division of McCullough Development, Inc., a South Carolina corporation based in Beaufort, South Carolina, United States. We build official companion applications for indie tabletop and role-playing game publishers, along with freestanding tools for the broader tabletop community.
We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Our applications are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. When you purchase an app, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate our services: static web hosting for this site; Apple and Google for app distribution and purchases; Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to provide optional cross-device sign-in and synchronization in applications that offer it; and certain optional in-app features, such as on-demand translation, that may send the text you choose to translate to a third-party service only when you actively use that feature. In applications that offer image-to-text or similar AI-assisted features, we use an AI processing provider (Anthropic, maker of the Claude models), relayed through a secure server we operate (Cloudflare), which receives only the content you submit for that feature and returns the extracted result. Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, content sent through the API is not used to train its models and is automatically deleted after a short retention period. Each provider processes information under its own privacy policy.
We keep correspondence and contact information only as long as needed to address your request and to maintain reasonable business records, after which it is deleted or archived. Information stored locally within an app remains under your control and can be cleared from your device at any time. If you use optional sign-in to sync data across devices, that information is retained while your account remains active; you can clear it or delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us, after which the synced data is removed.
Our website and applications are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to request a correction, or to request deletion of information you have shared with us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor those rights as required.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.

If you signed in to a DigiRune Studios companion app using your Google or Apple account, you can request deletion of your account and all associated synced data at any time. Signing out within the app ends your session on that device, but does not by itself delete data stored in our systems.
To permanently delete your account and data, email will@digirunestudios.com from the email address associated with your account, using the subject line Account Deletion Request. We will permanently delete your account identifier (such as your email address and unique user ID) and any preferences or content you chose to sync, within 30 days, and confirm by email once complete.
Information stored only on your own device can be cleared at any time from within the app. We retain no synced data after deletion, except where retention is required by law.
